I have been talking a lot about "agility at a personal level" -- both at conferences on software development and within organizations. I was really intrigued with this book and looking forward to seeing it in print. The text is imminently readable and the drawings and mind maps are captivating. Researchers are telling us that drawing and doodling are the best pathways to our memories--Staffan takes full advantage of this! He describes specific techniques that help us achieve the grander goals of: becoming more productive, increasing focus, creating a feeling of accomplishment at the end of the day, cutting down the stress of wasted multi-tasking. I love it! I hope you find it's the perfect book to start out the new year!
I am a Kindle fan, but the drawings in the text version make it worth having a printed copy. And don't forget to buy a timer! Yes, a Pomodoro (tomato) is good, but I bought a lady bug :-)!

I love the Zen Habits blog and really connect with Leo's simple message of cutting the clutter and living a simpler life in order to do and achieve the things that are of real value, so I got a lot out of this book's simple reminders and encouragement.
I didn't like it in audio format, though, which I explain in my video review, so while the content deserves five stars, the robotic, slick narrator and the way the format of the book worked with being read aloud brought the star rating down.
One other minor quibble was that Leo mentioned "previous posts" and "later posts" in his book a lot. Some of the content was obviously written for a blog format and it wasn't edited vigorously enough to catch these mistakes.
Other than that, though, the content is exactly what I expected from reading Leo's blog and I enjoyed the book a lot. It's a good kick in the rear if you need help getting fired up to achieve your goals through simplicity.

Can I give this book 10 Stars?
The Skinny On Series are basically Cliffs Notes books on whatever subject it's covering. In this case, the subject is "Time Management". The book is simple, it's funny, and it gets right to the point without sacrificing details on what is really important. So if you are wondering whether or not to give this book a chance, the answer is one big YES. Why?
1. The information is amazing and unbelievably helpful.
2. It is so simple and easy to read. You can actually read it from cover to cover in one hour.
3. The Skinny On crew has done all the research for us. Do you really have the time to go over dozens of books on time management just to write down the important and helpful points found in each one of them? I know I don't.
4. If you DO want more detailed information, Jim Randel tells you were to find it.
5. It's funny and entertaining, you know, as in Not Boring.
6. The book not only helps us how to Manage Time, by teaches us how to use time in a way that we can accomplish our dreams and goals.

Trust me, do NOT think twice. This book is worth every single penny.
