handbook of hard knocks. A book that Judge
Hatchett, Judy, Ephraim, and Brown could recommend
to the people to keep them out of court.
Rules like:
#6 Watch your time and value your expertise and knowledge.
Don't go about spending your time freely dishing out all
of your expertise and knowledge...
or
#7 When people want to pick your brains, they are picking
your pocket. Don't subject yourself to brain-picking sessions
at breakfast, lunch or dinner unless you are the charitable type...
and
#57 Never spend 100% of your time on just one project or fighting
one batle...
While these are just part of 3 of Marlene's messages, these exceperts
show many of the concepts she presents.
Are they simple?
Yes, but of course there will be someone complaining,
"I know that" or "Anyone knows that"
All I can say is that while the concepts might seem simple when you
read this review, once you end up on the "Writer's Side" of any of
these 101 Reality Checks you WILL wish you had read the book.
For me, it's "Been there, got the T-Shirt".
